1Beware! Faulty firmware, slow write speed.Apr 02, 2009
By Jaswant Singh "Jaswant Singh"
233x is the READ speed, as opposed to write speeds. I contacted the manufacturer and the WRITE speed is only 16MB/sec. 133X cards have 20MB/sec speed. As you can see, this Ridata card is performing below 133X speed as write speed is concerned. Also, you need to send this card to the manufacturer AT YOUR OWN shipping cost to get the firmware upgraded to get the problem fixed as stated at manufacturer's website, ww w. ritekusa . co m:

"Consumer Notice:
Ridata has recently released a firmware upgrade (H0722) for its Ridata 233X CF cards that appears to have resolved the issues with "continuous shot" mode in Digital SLR cameras (such as Nikon and Canon SLR DSCs, etc.)."

5Fast, reliable, cheapJun 02, 2009

I've had no problems with this product. Performs very well, very fast. Price was half of the competitor, but no loss in quality.

Easy decision.

5Great card for 5D2Feb 26, 2009
By Thomas Mason
It was $99.75 and a great product.

It works well in my Canon cameras. Both 5D1 & 2 could read as 32G. 5D2 could format as 32G, but I haven't tried with 5D1 yet. Even if 5D1 doesn't format as 32G, you could format on PC. There is nothing wrong with the card.

1WARNING! Fast Card but Big IssueJan 05, 2009
By Nathan J. Foye
This is a very fast card. Works great the first time in my camera. Canon 5D.

But be WARNED.....if you format this CF card in the camera, it decreases the size of the card to 8GB and there is NOTHING you can do to fix it. I have talked to Ridata and they said it must be sent back and that it is an issue with Canon. I don't know if that is true or not but beware!

Quite disappointed with this and Ridata Tech support.
