Item was a bait and switch. Sent only a single adapter, but charged for price of dual. Unable to reach supplier to get returned.
This has happened twice with Amazon, and they request you get RMA credit from supplier before they will give you refund.
Live and learn. Amazon is turning into an Ebay with no recourse for buyers.

Not a review of the product as such,more a review of the third party (unknown) who actually ship this part.
Did not receive the actual product as ordered,but received the single slot version with the horizontal IDE connector.
I'd like to give the anonymous party who deal with this the benefit of the doubt and assume they have staff who are
simply incapable of distinguishing CF adapters from one another. I'd also like them to refund my shipping costs as well.
I am now late on a build project of mine and will take this (and additional business) to someone like Addonics and
LogicSupply who specialize in these products.. Try them..!

used in an old machine with a 8GB Compactflash card like first HDD, it works superb...That's an easy choice to recycle MOBOS. Try to use Trascend brand CF. if you use Ubuntu only 4 gb is enough. With Windows XP, 8Gb or more.

I was trying to replace the IDE hard drive with 8GB flash card. It works, but veeery slow. The card is also some "ultra". Don't know exactly what is the problem, probably CF, as adapter is a passive interconnector.
