Fuji Finepix J10 is fun, small and easy!Aug 28, 2010
The Fuji Finepix J10 is a decent camera. It's not the best nor the worst but I am satisfied enough. It's not worth top dollar but if you can find a used one like I did for [...] bucks and in mint condition, then you got a great deal! I love the tiny size and the quick start up. Video quality is not good but..it's not a camcorder.
I got lucky finding my J10 for the 40 dollar price and getting it looking brand spanking new! I thought for sure I was going to get one that was beat up OR mistreated. I decided that I don't want to buy new point and shoot cameras any more. I get disapointed with point and shoots and wind up spending top dollar for brand new and for nothing. Waste of money buying new unless it's a DSLR!
Picture quality is average or decent and I am satisfied with that. The functions are easy and it's so nice and small anyone would love it. It's a clean looking camera..nice and simple and fun.
Find one at a refurbished price or a good used one and you will be happier with yourself! I think most folks will like this one. I have enjoyed it so far and I've only had it for two days.
REMEMBER...DO NOT BUY POINT AND SHOOT CAMERAS BRAND NEW! FIND BETTER DEALS WITH REFURBISHED OR GOOD USED ONES!

Horrible picture quality, comparable to the 20$ kiddy cams you get in toy stores. One picture may look OK, then the next is completely screwed up. Batteries are horrible and last maybe for 10 to 20 shots in just about any mode. Skip this POS and buy a Canon or Sony. Fuji needs to get out of the camera businnes.

For the price I was very pleased to receive: the charger, a battery and a case included with the camera. Shipping was in a timely manner. The only problem was the colors and picture quality seemed to be less than perfect.
I bought this camera because I owned the same camera and broke the screen. Since I already bought an extra battery for $30 I hated to just throw it all away with the broken camera. So with this purchase I ended up with 3 batteries, 2 chargers and a case to protect the screen from breaking again. But since I already owned this camera the picture quality was very noticeable to me.

Don't buy Fujifilm...they suckDec 17, 2009
I got Fujifilm J10 as a gift. With 3-4 months of using it suddenly the flash stopped working. I had barely used the camera few times. So I sent it back to Fujifilm since it was under warranty. They sent me an invoice for $60 to repair the flash...They refused to repair the camera under the pretext that it had minor scraches on one end. I called them back & tried to explain that it was barely used. To my dismay they refused to entertain any sort of enquiry.The service center remarked "impact damage, flash broken" and is not covered under warranty. This camera was not dropped, mishandled, abused, or impacted! I refused service I HATE FUJIFILM...their cameras are only good while they are working. I felt that $140 had gone down in drain. I will NEVER TOUCH FUJIFILM AGAIN...Do yourself a favor and get Nikon or Canon!

The battery is some special flat model that takes, like, 10 minutes to charge. "Great," you say? Not hardly, because that's about how long it lasts, and, unlike my previous Fuji, which used AAs, there's no way that I know of to have another set of batteries charged and ready to go. Hence, the battery's ALWAYS dead, and is so as I type. I find this VERY poor indeed; this thing needs more charging than my cell phone, which is on 24/7. Considering the battery to be a "feature," that's why I gave "features" 1 star. I'm seriously unhappy with this camera since it's useless without power. I'd appreciate a bigger camera with bigger batteries that's a lot more useful in the end.
