Battery performs wonderfully. Have had it a few weeks now and I'm purchasing a 2nd. Yes, you get a warning that the camera cannot communicate with the battery pack, but you can ignore it. Yes it will not give you a live update on the battery life. But it runs nearly 3 hours non-stop, most of the day on and off. And it's a fraction of the price of the Canon battery. Save yourself $100 and get this thing. You deserve it. Oh, and when I bought this it also came with a wall charger & car adapter. Serious deal.

WARNING - This is not a original Canon product, it is a replica cheaper version of it. I too was fooled by the description, and while the battery works (in general terms) it does not update the Camera with time of charge, and camera gives warning that it can not get update on battery charge from this battery.
If you see from the picture of the product, you can see it does not show side where Canon brand supposed to show, so beware.
Suggest you buy a actual Official Canon product if you want to not have same issue.
