Bosch 1645K 24-Volt Reciprocating Saw Kit with Dual Stroke

Job sites can get messy, and the last thing you need when working in a demolition zone is another cord to tangle and trip on. Bosch's 24-volt reciprocating saw provides plenty of heavy-duty cutting power without the leash. Its 0 to 2,300 spm speed ranks it with many corded reciprocating saws in raw cutting speed. The saw features tool-free blade changing and shoe adjustments. The stroke length can be switched from 3/4 inch for precision plunge cuts to 1-1/4 inch for faster cuts. As with all its 24-volt tools, Bosch gives this reciprocating saw a comfortable rubber grip. The blade clamp does not use a tool, but you better make sure that the blade is fully inserted and locked down or surprise! Down on the floor it'll go.

This cordless reciprocating saw seems to have as much power as some corded saws. It works great for jobs where I don't want to run an extension cord. It has selection for two different stroke lengths. Quick release for changing blades. The Bosch 1645K 24V saw has a great balance of power, durability, weight, comfort & convience.

I got mine when Bosch first ran their free tool promo a few years back and it's been one of my favorite tools. No cords, no hassles. It has a good runtime and has plenty of power. The toolless blade change is great and the dual stroke is nice for when you need to be more/less aggessive. With two batteries and a one hour charger, you won't run out of power. It may never replace a corded recip saw for extreme use, but a corded saw will never be as handy as this saw

Does the 24 Volt vibrate like the 36 Volt Model?Jun 09, 2009

I bought the 36volt version of this saw and it vibrates so firecely it makes my nose itch!! More seriously, after ten minutes of continuous use I have to stop because it hurts my hands. I contacted Bosch and they said the vibration was normal. Does the 24 volt vibrate as intensely? My Milwaukie corded recip saw is super smooth, so I am using it and putting the Bosch cordless up for sale on EBAY.

After I got this saw, I no longer use my corded Dewalt saw. I have kept it, mainly because the dewalt was the first tool I every bought. The bosch has plenty of power and a long battery life. It works as well as my corded saw.
